Evolve FM, the only Indigenous majority-owned full-service facilities management company in Australia, has been appointed as a provider under the competitive, open-market Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) property procurement tender.
Evolve FM is a joint venture company between Pacific Services Group Holdings – a 100% Indigenous- owned company – and JLL, one of the world’s leading property and real estate services companies. PSGH is the majority owner of Evolve FM.
Evolve FM’s CEO Mark Coleman said, “This is probably the single most significant contract to ever be won by an Indigenous business. It is absolutely a game changer with the Federal Government appointing an SME, a new player who just happens to be Indigenous owned. What makes it even more satisfying is we won this tender on our own merits on the open market.
“Our track record in engaging with indigenous businesses is very successful, and we’re currently aiming for a 30 percent Indigenous employment target.”
Evolve FM has been appointed as the service provider to over 20 Commonwealth entities.
“This is a significant contract won by an Indigenous business and clear evidence of the indigenous sector maturing.
“As Evolve FM develops, we will seek to provide employment, cadetships, training and other opportunities for Indigenous people within the company, as well as identifying other Indigenous businesses which we can contract to deliver services,” Mr Coleman said.
Since being formed in 2015, Evolve FM has secured work to provide property and facilities management services to Department of Health, Prime Minister and Cabinet, CSIRO and Indigenous Business Australia.
