PSG Holdings were engaged as Construction Managers to undertake the refurbishment works for the Australian Taxation Office, in Newcastle NSW.
The site at 266 King Street is currently occupied by 600 staff placing a high importance on ensuring minimal disturbance to the working environment and resulted in out of hours work to be conducted.
To accommodate the smooth transition of the office space the works were programmed for 2 stages. Completing levels 1,3 and 4 over a 3-month period at the end of 2015, with levels 2 and ground completed in a 1 ½ month window in early 2016.
The tight schedule necessitated strict management of the multitude of trades to ensure no disturbance to ATO operations. In addition strict ATO standards and detailed finishes required scrutiny of all works maintaining a high level expected within the expedited program.
Highest importance was placed on the delivery of a new state of the art data centre, which included technical CREMS Unit and Gas Suppression System.
The successful delivery of the ATO office fit-out is another example of PSG Holdings ability to deliver the highest quality construction within tight time frames, guaranteeing client expectations are surpassed.
