Attention to Detail & Logistics for a Heritage Listed Parliamentary Building

Established in 1850, Treasury Place is a heritage-listed building of significant cultural value, having housed federal government at the turn of the century. Although the majority of these offices are now housed in the Canberra, 4 Treasury Place continues to be used by federal government. When undertaking the refurbishment of the internal finishes, consideration had to be taken firstly of the heritage sensitivity of the internal furnishings, the majority of which where temporarily removed. Furnishing that was of significant heritage importance required extra protection. The scope of works included patching, painting, staining and sundry rectification. With the building still functioning as a federal government office, our second consideration was ensuring the works carried out, was organised around parliamentary times. Ensuring the building remained fully operational throughout the duration of the works. The project was completed on time and defect free, demonstrating our strong logistical organisation skills and attention to detail in the works we produce.
